The formative peer review of teaching is a process designed to provide feedback to instructors* about their teaching. It is an opportunity to engage in collegial conversations about teaching and student learning and to foster inclusive practices. The peer review of teaching process introduced in this workshop is intended primarily as a form of formative (and developmental) feedback and will address skills that apply to the review of in-person, blended and online teaching.

Please join us for this in-person experiential workshop suitable for reviewers and people being reviewed.

*Instructors may be faculty members (sessional instructors, lecturers, research faculty, educational leadership faculty, clinical instructors, etc), post-doctoral fellows, or graduate students who are involved in the formative peer review process.

Please note: There will be approximately 10-15 minutes of pre-session work involved. Details will be sent approximately 1 week prior to the workshop.  The session will not be recorded.

Facilitators:

  • Judy Chan, PhD, Faculty Associate / Faculty Liaison (Land and Food Systems), CTLT
