This session is being run in partnership with the Centre for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning and the Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Technology.

The PDFO, in collaboration with the Centre for the Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (CIRTL) at UBC and the Centre for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT), offers an Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) designed specifically for Postdoctoral Fellows.

This 4-day online workshop focuses on the theory and practice of evidence-based teaching techniques. During the workshop, participants will discuss the key elements of learner-centred lesson design and adult learning theory. Additionally, participants will have a chance to teach three short lessons and receive feedback from peers. Participants will work closely with peers and ISW facilitators in a supportive atmosphere where they will begin to develop new teaching skills, enhance their existing skills, and/or try new and challenging ideas.
