We teach, and we hope our students learn. We design a series of tasks and assignments so that we can witness their learning and their growth, and support their learning. With the advent of generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) in 2023, we continue to grapple with how we can best use GenAI to support students’ learning and re-examine our assignment design to achieve the desire learning outcomes of courses we teach.
Join us for a casual gathering to review what we learned about GenAI
- Be aware of capacities, limitations, and unknowns of GenAI
- Recognize diverse ways to integrate GenAI in our assignment designs
- Address students’ wishes to support their learnings
- Brainstorm ways to enhance assignment designs for Term 2 courses
